When I was a wee lad, my bedroom had one of those closets with the two sliding mirror panels.

One day, I look in between the panels, and I spot not one, but three black things with little red marks on them. I thought nothing of it, and went about my business.

Eventually my curiosity got the better of me and I asked my parents what they were. Next thing I knew I was sleeping in the guest room for a few nights.

A few years later, I found out they were black widows. I had three of them a few feet from my own bed.

Coronet unrelated.

I always thought the front end styling of the 2006-2010 Charger looked more like the ‘69 and ‘70 Coronets, and should have been called that. But I guess “Coronet” was too frumpy of a name.

When I was a sophomore in college, there was a guy who lived in my dorm, but on a different floor. Over Christmas break he stayed in the dorm and ended up getting bit by some variety of spider whose venom causes your flesh to pretty much die.

Long story short, he nearly died, and now has a baseball-sized chunk missing from one of his calves where they had to remove the poisoned flesh.

When I was a wee lad of 7 years old I found a nest of baby rattle snakes infront of our house. I thought they were cute so I showed my step dad. He turned white as a sheet and slowly backed away. I believe he doused the nest in gasoline and burned it.

they took up residence in my yard and tool boxES.............. so now i only work on stuff when i can check in the boxes, drawers, and tools(even the sockets) themselves........ (no more late night box searches) everytime i open the box i can find at least 1..........

and their bite is no joke................

We also have brown recluse spiders here in WA. A similar thing happened to one of my friends when she was younger.

Here, spider webs up high that you walk into are annoying. Spiders that live down in dark places are scary.

nah, just have to look around carefully before you reach in and dig around......... they usually stick in corners, and under the edges of tools. usually you get 1 good stab at them.........
